I had the honor of meeting two lovely Catholic Rhodesians, yesterday and in their honor I wish to post this excerpt from Ian Smith's book. The Great Betrayal. In the Communist attack on Rhodesia you will see the naked aggression of the "Errors of Russia."

"Probably the most compelling argument in support of our taking of independence was the recent history of Africa; we were living cheek by jowl with the results. For example, Ghana was the first British country to be granted independence in 1957, and the British government claimed that this glorious example would prove the success of Britain’s colonial policy.
Within a couple of years their President Nkrumah had established a one party dictatorship, half of the Members of Parliament were imprisoned, the leaders of the opposition had been eliminated, the economy was in ruins, and the President had established an external multi-million-pound personal bank account. We could not know at the time that in the following year, 1966, he would be ousted and lucky to get out with his life.
Next in line for independence was Nigeria, in 1960, and we were told that this was a mature country with links with Britain and Europe going back over 200 years. There were big religious and ethnic differences …

Jerusalem, the great harlot of the Apocalypse.
Is this truly Jerusalem? Many claim that the great harlot is eternal Rome, or even the Catholic Church. I will demonstrate, with biblical text to support my claim, that Jerusalem is the worthy heir to this apocalyptic title. May God protect you.

After a Scholar’s Awful Death, Mistaken Calls for Censorship - A Rush to Pin a Sad Death on the Media

By Michelle Goldberg
Opinion Columnist
Last year, Jack Grove, a reporter for Times Higher Education, a British magazine, was preparing an article about plagiarism allegations against the star academic Jason Arday. It would have been a big story because Arday, who in 2023 became Cambridge’s youngest-ever Black professor, was a minor celebrity, thanks in part to his seemingly extraordinary biography.
Among other things, Arday said that he’d gotten his Ph.D. despite severe autism that left him nonverbal until he was 11 and unable to read until he was 18. He’d claimed to have run 600 miles in six days, which would have made him one of the world’s most accomplished ultramarathoners.
Grove sent Arday three emails with questions about both his work and his history. Arday responded by hiring one of Britain’s leading defamation …More

St. Pius X Welcomed Criticism

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
– Folha de S. Paulo, March 18, 1973 –
The Santiago Chancery has so far refused to publish anything about the Chilean TFP’s manifesto. My perplexity grows with each passing day, as I see no valid reason for this silence.
The manifesto’s subject matter is of utmost importance because it concerns the Pastors’ fulfillment of their mission to protect their sheep — and, by extension, the entire country — from the effects of communist propaganda.
The manifesto has more than enough intellectual substance to attract the attention of Chile’s Bishops Conference. Its doctrine is irreproachable, the facts it alleges are supported by extensive documentation, the exposition is well-connected, and its language is clear and elevated.
Furthermore, I am informed that the manifesto has been widely publicized by several Chilean newspapers, radio and television stations. It deserves a refutation, at least out of deference to the immense audience that has taken note of it.

The Vacancy of the Apostolic See: A Theological Case for Sedevacantism
Methodological note.
The following text is deliberately written from a sedevacantist perspective. It therefore does not present sedevacantist conclusions as juridically or magisterially recognized facts by the Church today. Rather, it seeks to present the case as rigorously as possible, while distinguishing between certain doctrines, theological opinions, and arguments concerning their application.

"REFLECTION. — Whilst we contemplate, in profound sentiments of veneration, astonishment, and praise, the glory to which Mary is raised by her triumph on this day, we ought, for our own advantage, to consider by what means she arrived at this sublime degree of honor and happiness, that we may walk in her steps.
No other way is open to us. The same path which conducted her to glory will also lead us thither; we shall be partners in her reward if we copy her virtues."

August 15 ~ THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.
ON this festival, the Church commemorates the happy departure from life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her translation into the kingdom of her Son,
in which she received from Him a crown of immortal glory, and a throne above all the other Saints and heavenly spirits. After Christ, as the triumphant Conqueror of death and hell, ascended into heaven, His blessed Mother remained at Jerusalem, persevering in prayer with the disciples, till, with them, she had received the Holy Ghost. She lived to a very advanced age, but finally paid the common debt of nature, none among the children of Adam being exempt from that rigorous law. But the death of the Saints is rather to be called a sweet sleep than death ; much more that of the Queen of Saints, who had been exempt from all sin. It is a traditionary pious belief, that the body of the Blessed Virgin was raised by God soon after her death, and taken up to glory, by a singular privilege, …More

De Profundis

Leo XIV met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the Vatican on Thursday for talks focused on Lebanon’s deteriorating security situation and efforts to implement the Trilateral Framework Agreement. Aoun asked the pope to continue pressing for an end to Israeli attacks and withdrawal from Lebanese territory, while seeking Vatican support for a diplomatic path toward peace. The two leaders also discussed strengthening Lebanese state authority and placing decisions of war and peace solely in the hands of the state amid renewed violence in the country’s south.

seit wann hört israel auf den papst?

Sally Dorman shares from en.news

The bishop who oversees the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France has said the popular Catholic pilgrimage site will cover all of its mosaics by disgraced priest Father Marko Rupnik ahead of Pope Leo XIV’s visit next month.

Lourdes Will Finally Cover All Rupnik Mosaics

The mosaics by Marko Rupnik at the Sanctuary of Lourdes will be fully covered in the coming weeks and will remain hidden permanently after Pope Leo XIV’s visit, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes told French newspaper LaDepeche.fr on August 20.
Only some of the mosaics, including those on the basilica’s doors, were covered in March 2025.
The sanctuary had previously stopped illuminating Rupnik’s works during its nightly processions in 2024.
Rupnik is a Slovenian priest and artist promoted by the Vatican for decades. He has been accused by around two dozen women of sexual, spiritual and psychological abuse. An ongoing canonical case concerning the allegations is being drawn out in the Vatican.
Bishop Micas has previously said that the continued public display of Rupnik’s work at Lourdes can cause particular pain to victims of abuse who visit the sanctuary.

"Filled with indignation against the usurer, they declared his body should not be buried in consecrated ground, and taking it off the catafalque, dragged it out of the city and threw it on a place where dead beasts were buried.
This wonderful occurrence did not fail to produce a good and lasting impression on the people. From that time usury was almost stamped out of Florence; but the respect and veneration in which St. Anthony was held were such that he and his companion fled from the city to seek the solitude of Mt. Alvernia."

‘Miracles of St. Antonio of Padua’ ~ Chapter I – Miracles during his life; pages 46-50; points 16 – ‘Where the treasure is, there also is Thy Heart….’, etc.’

[St. Anthony of Padua XII-XIII Century AD; born: Lisbon, Kingdom of Portugal/died: Padua, Holy Roman Empire; (aged 35); powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick; canonized less than a year after his death; Doctor of the Church]
16 ~ Where the treasure is, there also is Thy Heart
Among the many vices infesting Florence, usury was the one
against which the saint waged the greatest war.
St. Bonaventure himself relates an occurrence which took place in that city, and of which St. Anthony availed himself in one of his sermons to illustrate how severely God punishes that vice.
A rich usurer died, and whilst the saint was in prayer God revealed to him that this man s soul was in hell on account of his unjust dealings with others. An immense crowd of people had gone to hear the saint preach the funeral sermon. He at once, on ascending the pulpit, began by pointing out the heinousness of the sin of usury, declaring that usurers in …More
