The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith published today the procedure for the “reconciliation” with the Vatican of former clergy of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), together with a separate procedure for lay faithful. (Full Italian document below). The procedure, effective July 1, 2026, provides that a priest who has decided to leave the FSSPX must be willing to accept the Second Vatican Council and the “legitimacy of the Novus Ordo Missae,” while remaining attached to the usus antiquior (traditional Roman rite). The priest must: - Find an Ordinary (a diocesan bishop, a major superior of a clerical pontifical institute of consecrated life, a clerical pontifical society of apostolic life, etc.) who is willing to receive him ad experimentum. - Write, in his own hand, a letter to the Holy Father introducing himself and requesting the remission of the censures incurred either because he received priestly ordination from an excommunicated or otherwise canonically irregular …আরও
15,000 People Attend the Episcopal Consecration: Around fifteen thousand laypeople and a thousand priests and religious currently attend the episcopal consecration in Ecône, Switzerland. During the consecration sermon, Father Davide Pagliarani advanced the strange argument that "we belong to the same Church because we have the same faith," even though the controversy concerns questions of ecclesiastical authority rather than the content of the faith.
Tausende (aber nicht hunderttausend) Gläubige bei den heutigen Bischofsweihen
Feeling the pain of the Orthodox. Who simply wanted administrative authority over consecrations as defined in the Council of Niceae. Before any of the breaches over theology, real or imagined.
Bishop Defends Football Screening in Church: Bishop Jean-Louis de Metz-Noblat of Verdun, France, defended in a July 1 video the decision to broadcast the France–Norway football match inside the church of Ligny-en-Barrois. "There were undoubtedly a few cheers, a song of celebration, and some applause, just as happens when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church. Some people have said to me, 'But a church is a place for prayer.' I dare to hope that, because they were in the church, a number of people were able to pray for the success of their favorite team. I also dare to hope that, by entering a church, some of them discovered a place where perhaps they had never set foot before."
"Rien d'injurieux" : Après la diffusion de France-Norvège dans l’église de Ligny-en-Barrois, l'évéque de Verdun persiste et signe - Dans une vidéo de plus de trois minutes , Monseigneur de Metz-Noblat assume pleinement cette décision et entreprend d'en démontrer le bien-fondé, allant jusqu'à manier une certaine ironie à l'égard des fidèles scandalisés
I can only imagine the "best" view was provided by projecting these images onto the stage -- I mean: sanctuary. "when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church." Your Excellency, I think that we have found the problem.
Weather Deteriorated During Episcoapal Consecration: As the consecration began in Écône, a downpour doused the faithful in the field outside the tent. Meanwhile, the organ played Handel's "Lascia ch'io pianga": "Let me weep over my cruel fate, and sigh for freedom."
The episcopal consecrations in Ecône, Switzerland, today should lead the Church to reconsider the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite, Cardinal Gerhard Müller told IlGiornale.it on July 1. The restrictions imposed by Traditionis Custodes (2021) have only strengthened the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) by giving them "a symbol of dissent against Rome". They have "almost served as propaganda" for them. According to Cardinal Müller, Traditionis Custodes "has not had a positive effect": "Using an authoritarian approach to demand blind obedience is not our way." He praised Benedict XVI's Summorum Pontificum (2007) for bringing "a great deal of peace" to the Church, adding: "One cannot prohibit the rite in its ancient form." The ancient Mass cannot be harmful when "the saints and the Fathers of the Church celebrated in this form." Cardinal Müller rejected the claim that those attached to the ancient rite reject the Second Vatican Council, arguing instead that the …আরও
On June 30, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Marco Mellino as Secretary of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts. Until now, Mellino was the deputy secretary of the same Dicastery. He was one of the principal canon-law officials of Francis' Curial reform. Born in 1966 in Canale (Piedmont), Mellino was ordained a priest in 1991 and earned his licentiate (1999) and doctorate (2000) in canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University. Defending Amoris Laetitia In January 2018, Mellino defended the controversial Chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia about giving Communion to adulterers in an article entitled 'La comunione ad alcuni fedeli in situazione irregolare' (Communion for some members of the faithful in an irregular situation). Mellino belongs to the same canon-law milieu as Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the principal Vatican defender of Amoris laetitia. In October 2018, Francis appointed Mellino as Bishop and Secretary of the Council of Cardinals (the "C9"). Creating a "Synodal Church" Monsignor …আরও
Mary Live with Dr. Miravalle: Please Stay with Peter: to the Laity of the Society of Saint Pius X Please view and pass on this extremely important appeal to the laity and families of the St. Pius X Society by Dr. Mark Miravalle just hours after the tragic ordination of four bishops in formal disobedience to Pope Leo XIV on July 1, 2026.
The Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on July 2 issued a decree excommunicating the six bishops of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). The decree also warns clergy and faithful not to adhere to the Fraternity's schism, stating that doing so incurs automatic excommunication. An accompanying explanatory note says that all attempts since Pope Paul VI to reconcile the movement founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre with the Catholic Church have failed. The recent episcopal consecrations against the will of Pope Leo XIV, it says, "constituted the offense of schism, with the resulting canonical consequences for the sacred ministers and lay faithful involved." "The sacred ministers belonging to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X are in schism and must therefore be considered schismatics." Lay faithful who formally adhere to the Fraternity are likewise to be considered schismatics and excommunicated. The FSSPX clergy administer "the sacraments illicitly": "The …আরও
1) They are in communion with Pachamama and similar deities. 2) They are in Communion with LGTB (Fiducia Suplicans). 3) They are in Communion with those who call the Glorious Victory of The Cross "God's failure" 4) They are in Communion with those who degrade The Blessed of God by abolition of Mediatrix y Co-Redemptrix. 5) They are in Communion with Islam that proclaims that all that accept Jesus as God deserves hell and deny that Jesus was crucified on the Cross. 6) Etc, etc, etc
Very old argument but stands the test. If St. Paul were here which Mass would he attend? Another old argument but immutable, if you defect from any de fide teachings or deny dogma, you are excommunicated. Mr. Fernandez, Mr. Prevost, Mr. Matteo, Mr. Kennedy your table is ready in the smoking section.
"Modernist Church Kills Everything It Touches: The newly ordained FSSPX Bishop Michael Goldade criticized the Church during today's Vespers: "If the Catholic Church in her tradition brings forth life, the modernist church is a desert. It kills. It kills everything that it touches. It kills the supernatural life. It kills the sources of grace. It dries up everything because it has placed man in the place of God and therefore turned away from the sources of life."
Bishop Michael Goldade of the SSPX says his consecration and that of three other bishops today are signs "of the vitality of Holy Mother the Church."
Uh, the Vatican II documents denies ANYONE is "outside the Church" - it teaches "degrees of communion" for all - Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Jew, Muslim, etc. ALL people are the "People of God" [NOT that I believe any of that!}
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) "didn't consider useful the dialogue we've proposed", Cardinal Tucho Fernández, soft porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, told @Michael Haynes on X.com. Tucho added: "But we hope in future, thanks to the action of the Holy Spirit, it'll be possible. I'm sure, but we'll need time." #newsXnfaezetpr
Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira From an informal lecture on July 1, 1965 (*) To understand the devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we should look carefully at the meaning of blood and blood that is shed. By doing this, we can then consider the meaning of the shedding of the Precious Blood of Christ. We all know that blood is biologically part of our body. However, blood is also intimately associated with the vital element of the individual as a person. That is why we give to the Blood of Christ all the adoration due to Christ Himself. Our blood is naturally meant to be inside the body. Hence, every time we bleed, it is something of an unnatural or catastrophic nature. Many illnesses, for example, are perceived by bleeding caused by some malfunction inside the body. Bleeding is almost a sign of alarm, which because of its violence, calls attention to the fact that something is terribly wrong with the person. Besides illnesses, bleeding also calls to mind fighting and …আরও

If you look closely at the tiles on the platforms, you'll see they are designed to look like a giant strip of film. Across all four platforms, black and white tiles mimic sprocket holes along the top and bottom, turning the entire curved wall into a massive film reel. It is a clever nod to the local area's long connection with the film industry and the world-class movie premieres held in the square above today. Want to spot this yourself?
