On June 13, Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, Apostolic Vicar of Phnom Penh, accepted the title Akka Mahā Upāsaka Buddha Sāsanūpatthambhakr ("Elder Great Lay Supporter and Upholder of the Buddha's Dispensation") at the temple Wat Botum Vatey in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The title was conferred by Supreme Patriarch Nun Nget of Cambodia's Mohanikaya Buddhist order.
