One message for Muslims, another for Catholics: While Pope Leo XIV described the Great Mosque of Algiers in April as "a divine, sacred space" where "God is present", Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, told AdVaticanum.com on June 22 that "Catholics should understand papal gestures in non-Christian spaces as symbolic acts of encounter and dialogue" and "not as approval of all religious beliefs equally."

After Leo XIV told moslems that mosques are "sacred space", Cardinal Koovad says that "Catholics should understand papal gestures in non-Christian spaces (Mosques) as symbolic acts of encounter and dialogue, not as a denial of the uniqueness of Christ or as approval of all religious beliefs equally."

Cardinal Koovakad on dialogue with Patriarch Kirill and Pope Leo’s visit to a mosque | Advaticanum

Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad is the Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, the Vatican department responsible for promoting understanding, cooperation and engagement between the Catholic Church and followers of other religious traditions.
After joining the Holy See’s diplomatic service in 2006, following studies at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy, he held posts in Algeria, South Korea, Iran, Costa Rica and Venezuela. His experience later led to his being entrusted with the organisation of papal trips, including high-risk journeys such as Pope Francis’s 2021 visit to Iraq, earning him the reputation of being the Francis pontificate’s “travel agent” as he arranged the complex itinerary of one of the most travelled popes in history.
Created a cardinal in 2024 and appointed Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue in 2025, his career has marked a series of firsts. He is the first member of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church to head a curial department. He …

Leo XIV Appoints Synodal Bishop: "Open to Novelty and Change"

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry.
He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality".
Strong Synodal Profile
By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process.
In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc.
His Language Speaks Volumes
In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …Дагы

He needs to affirm the Creeds, Councils and Cathechisms in the original. He does not do this. This is a canonical issue. With Vatican Council II rational we can affirm the Council and Tradition. But the bishop, with Vatican Council II irrational cannot affirm both. A bishop who cannot affirm de fide teachings in Tradition which are not contradicted by Vatican Council II, cannot hold his office.
It is obligatory, morally and canonically for the bishop to affirm Vatican Council I
I only rationally ( LG 16 inviible.)

Novelty and change have nothing to do with GROWTH. One grows in virtue, while novelty and change can refer to compromising the Catholic faith.

German Diocese Reduces to Just NINE Parishes

The Diocese of Speyer in southwestern Germany plans to reduce its current 70 parishes to just 9 large parish units. Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann described the move as a “major turning point” that will require "courage" from all involved.
By October 31, the diocesan administration will present a plan for implementing the changes.
The new parishes will be led by a three-person team consisting of a pastor, a lay pastoral minister, and an administrative director.
Before a major reform in 2016, the diocese consisted of 346 parishes. These were merged into 70 larger parishes as part of the pastoral "reform" program.

Video message of the Holy Father on the occasion …
Dear friends,
I am happy to greet all of you as you gather in various locations for the Steubenville Summer Youth Conferences during the year that marks the fiftieth anniversary of these encounters. As you might know, this year we are also celebrating the eight-hundredth anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. Since this event is organized by the Franciscan University of Steubenville, I thought it would be fitting to reflect upon the message Saint Francis might have for young people today. I think that he could speak to us about many things, but especially authentic peace and perfect joy, for these themes were an important part of his life.
If you had met Saint Francis on the streets of Assisi in the thirteenth century, he might have looked at you with a serene and loving smile, and said: “Pace e bene,” that is “Peace and all good.” This was the way that Saint Francis often greeted people, and it expresses one of the desires in …Дагы

🌈 Archbishop Paglia's Moral Revolution Conceals an 'Unconfessable Interest' - Monsignor Melina

Monsignor Livio Melina (pictured with Benedict XVI), former president (2006-2016) of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, has written on Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia’s role in the suppression of the original Institute.
Melina responded on LaNuovaBq.it (June 20) to a May 21 interview Paglia gave to Settimana News.
“Cover for an Unconfessable Interest”
Melina’s most striking accusation comes near the end of his essay: “Paglia’s actions were not moved by theological reasons, but by an ideological criticism of the Institute.”
He suggests that ideology serves to hide deeper motives: “Ideology, as Karl Marx taught us, functions as a cover for an unconfessable interest.”
Melina suggests that the suppression may have stemmed from a conviction that the Church's traditional teaching on marriage and family is "unreasonable" and "impracticable".
"No Facts, Only Interpretations" - Nietzsche
Melina accuses Paglia's paradigm of resting on the "principle of …Дагы

Sinking Titanic Back at the Vatican: "We are human beings, not techno-robots," Leo XIV told the children of the Vatican summer camp today, encouraging them to limit screen time, pray, cultivate real friendships, and avoid becoming dependent on technology. The scene featured the Pope addressing hundreds of children beneath a giant inflatable sinking Titanic. The plastic 'bouncy castle' in the shape of the Titanic has been in use for several years.

Leo XIV's Developments: People’s Realities Define Doctrine - US Cardinal

The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington 🌈 Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University.
He pointed to "two developments during the pontificate of Leo XIV".
The first was a remark Leo XIV made during his trip to Africa in April, when he said that “the unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.”
Cardinal McElroy commented: “Too often both in magisterial statements and on the popular level, sexual sins have been condemned with an ardor that effectively places them in the eyes of many believers as the core moral obligation of Christians.”
Leo XIV instead pointed “to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life.”
The second development cited by McElroy was the publication of the report of synod's Study Group 9 in May and …Дагы

George Weigel’s Theologically Illiterate Hit Piece on the SSPX Reveals His True Masters

George Weigel’s Theologically Illiterate Hit Piece on the SSPX Reveals His True Masters

One of the post-conciliar religion’s most dramatic contradictions with the Catholic faith is its heterodox and blasphemous treatment of the Church’s relationship with the Jews.
Blasphemous, because it implies that Christ is not the unique and only way to salvation and that the Jews can be saved through their old (fulfilled and therefore redundant) covenant with God.
No wonder that George Weigel’s recent
attack on the Society of St. Pius X quickly zoned in on their fidelity to what the Catholic faith has always taught on the subject.
With stunning audacity, Weigel dared to begin his hit piece by asserting that SSPX leadership has declared, “wittingly or not, that it does not share the faith of the Catholic Church.”
Without missing a beat, Weigel immediately focuses on the SSPX statement that “Our Lord Jesus Christ rendered the Old Covenant definitively null and void.” Absurdly, he claims this would have “shocked St. Paul.”
The SSPX’s comment is, of course, not something they dreamt …

Justice Department Joins Catholic Nuns’ Lawsuit …
The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, who have cared for terminal cancer patients at no charge for 125 years, sued the state after the New York Department of Health sent them three warnings about not following the transgender policies.
One letter warns about “refusing to assign a room to a resident other than in accordance with the resident’s gender identity,” “prohibiting a resident from using a restroom available to other persons of the same gender identity,” and “willfully and repeatedly failing to use a resident’s preferred name or pronouns after being clearly informed of the preferred name or pronouns.”
On June 18, the DOJ notified the U.S. District Court of its intent to intervene on behalf of the sisters, asserting that New York’s law violates their constitutional right to equal protection as a religious group.

Pope Leo XIV to the UN’s World Food Programme: “Your institution’s commitment resonates profoundly with the Catholic Church’s mission to uphold human dignity and to foster fraternity, rooted in the Gospel’s call to love our neighbor. Together, we share the urgent task of confronting hunger and malnutrition, while also tackling the underlying structural causes that sustain them. To meet this task effectively, we must examine the challenges before us, their underlying causes and the paths toward lasting solutions.” “Today, crises have evolved from isolated events into persistent realities, marked by prolonged conflicts, chronic food insecurity, economic volatility and growing climate vulnerabilities. This raises a fundamental question: what configuration of the global order is capable of producing, reproducing and, at times, normalizing such conditions? The issue is no longer limited to how to intervene; rather, it extends to understanding why the system constantly produces the very …Дагы

Anyone who thinks that banks lend out money entrusted to them by savers is mistaken. They create it out of thin air through simple accounting entries. How does this money creation work, and why does it result in ordinary citizens having less and less money at their disposal? As Henry Ford once said, “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” Source.
You should never work so much that you don’t have time to live. You only have to look around to see the masses who are busy making money. Our world is set up in such a way that you don’t have time to enjoy the things you’ve worked so hard for—after all, you have to earn money to pay the next set of bills.

Sánchez Ally Jailed for 24 Years in Landmark Corruption Case – Allah's Willing Executioners

A former Spanish cabinet minister once regarded as Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s closest political ally has been sentenced to 24 years in prison in a landmark corruption case that has plunged the government into fresh turmoil.
Spain’s Supreme Court on Monday
convicted former Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos and his longtime adviser Koldo García over a scheme involving public contracts awarded during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ábalos was sentenced to 24 years in prison, while García received a 19-year sentence.
The ruling marks the first corruption case involving a former Sánchez minister to reach a final, non-appealable verdict and is likely to intensify pressure on the Socialist prime minister, who is already facing a series of investigations involving figures in his political orbit.
The case centres on contracts for masks and other medical supplies awarded during the pandemic. Judges found that Ábalos, who also served as secretary of the ruling Socialist Party (PSOE), used his …
